MANILA, Philippines - KFC Philippines, in partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA), will be treating some lucky fans to a one-of-a-kind basketball experience by having PBA player Doug Kramer face Toronto Raptors forward and NBA All-Star DeMar DeRozan in a Fully Loaded Shootout at the KFC SM Mall of Asia.
The KFC Fully Loaded Shootout will have two teams, Team KFC and Team NBA. Each team will have three to four members each competing in the unique four-round basketball shootout, which is also KFC Philippines’ initiative in line with this year’s NBA 3X, an annual event of the NBA in the Philippines.
Kramer and DeRozan will captain Team KFC and Team NBA, respectively. They will be joined by lucky winners of KFC’s on-going Fully Loaded Team online promo. In here, each team of 3-4 members will need to tweet a photo with their Fully Loaded Meals to @KFCPhilippines using the “KFCFullyLoadedTeam” and “NBA3XPh” hashtag. Eight teams will be selected and will have the chance to play alongside their basketball idols in the Fully Loaded Shootout.
“We recognize the Filipinos’ passion for basketball and by having our country’s own basketball star, Doug Kramer, represent Team KFC in the Fully Loaded Shootout, we’ll be showcasing the love that we have for this game,” said KFC Philippines marketing director Errol Magdato.
“As the official fast food partner of the NBA, KFC Philippines has been known for bringing good basketball experience to NBA fans in the country through our promos and events,” he added. “Recently, we had the KFC JR. NBA Shootout where six kids from Virlanie Foundation had the chance to play a shootout with Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward. Also, we were able to send two lucky NBA fans to watch this year’s NBA Finals live in Miami.”
